Find more auto classifieds and Convertible for sale at Used-Cars.Corral.net

Q: how much for a 2003 Ford Mustang Conv?
There’s a red ford mustang convertible for sale down the street from me, and it has been sale for acouple years now, looks like its in great condition, and i know it hasn’t been drove that much not sure about kms. it is auto transmission, about how much would you think its worth? This is in canada

A: Try kelleybluebook.com You just input all of the known information about the car and it always gives you a very accurate price range every time.

Q: What is a reasonable price to sale my Ford SVT Cobra Mustang?
2001 black, convertible, excellent condition except a few small chips on the hood from the previous owner, cold air intake from K and N. Ford MACH 5 sound system. Everthing else is all stock. 73K miles.
I went throught the whole car and change out all of the fluids because they seemed to be a little old. I went and did the full tune up, change all the filters through out. I intended on keeping this car but now we have a baby on the way and is now pointless for my wife to even try to get in it.
Long story short, I bought it from a dealership, paid too much, tried to treat it like a baby and now it’s time to sale. Help me find a price to sale in Southern California.

A: First question, do you owe on it? If so, than that is your bottom selling point (unless your upside down). I know its going to seem dissapointing, but KBB says its worth about 14,800. I used the good price because I’ve yet to see a car with 73k that in my eyes was excellent. I baby my cars too, but 73k of driving will put some wear on the exterior of any well maintained vehicle especially a vert. I used San Diego as the city, so who knows. The problem with your car (not that its really a problem) is that it looks like a “Terminator” but isn’t supercharged. I’d put it at 17 and see if you get any bites. The 03-04’s are fetching 25k so maybe you’ll find someone who wants the look but not the extra sticker price.

Q: Is this 2003 ford mustang worth buying?
There is a 2003 ford mustang for sale that I want to buy. It has just under 80,000 miles on it. It is a gt convertible v8 with a stick. I am buying this at a dealership, however I talked to them already and they said all there cars come sold as is. I have never owned a mustang and I was wondering if I should or should not buy this vehicle. Is there anything big that would have to be changed around that certain mileage. They are asking seven grand for it and I would be making payments on it. I don’t want to make a mistake and buy this and something goes out on it. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

A: You tell us.

You didn’t tell us ANYTHING about the condition. All you stated was that it has 80k miles, which tells you nothing about how it runs, what shape it’s in, or anything else.

So seeing as you gave us nothing to use to estimate the value, how would we know?

Go research the car yourself, since you obviously don’t want us to help.

Q: I am looking to buy the last edition of fox body a 1993 ford mustang gt?
I am looking to buy the last edition of fox body a 1993 ford mustang gt Convertible dark red with matching dark maroon interior 5 speed In new condition and original shapePlus A dark red or metallic silver hatch back with factory sunroof and the same specs I will buy both the cars if given a better dealPlease mail me on imran_marwan@hotmail.com if your have one for sale or know some one who has.thanks

A: I think that is probably too specific for this site.

You will probably have better luck in a place that lists cars for sale.

ebay or autotrader.com

Q: Need help on what to look for in a 1964 Ford Mustang?
I’ve just spotted a 64 Mustang today at work that was up for sale. I called up the guy and he was asking for $5,800 for it with 68,000 mileage rebuilt engine, 3rd owner, Automatic. I’m seriously considering picking up the car. Since I was at work I couldn’t test drive it (I do park field work). My question is, what do I look for in a classic Mustang so I won’t get rip off or get a car that has too many issues. What are the pros and cons of the 64’s that I should be aware of. I know nothing about American cars (sorry but I was born into the import scene all my life) but want this car. Are the price expensive and are the parts available if anything was to happen? Any concerns I should have? The link belong is the exact same look besides the convertible detail.

http://www.mustangsmustangs.com/ford/stangpics/64-65/65_conv_red_w7_2.jpg

Thanks for the help!

A: I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but there is no 1964 Mustang, only the 65…the early production (April to Aug 64) are called 64 1/2’s.. to tell if it is one, it has to have a engine code of one of these..D,F or U .. that’s the last letter before the unit number.. I would shy away from a U code, you can spot them by their 4 lug wheels, they originally came with a 170 ci inline 6, but odds are it’s been replace long ago. the problem with them is their small brakes, no good for stopping, so unless you are doing a complete resto rod with new everything don’t go there..

and like the others have said, watch out for rust, especially in the subframe assemblies.. also make sure the dataplate on the door matches the vin on the top of the drivers fender…learn how to decode by printing out a vin decoder, there’s one in the links of the group below..

Q: What is a reasonable for a Used 2006 Ford Mustang Convertible?
I found one for 15k, and I was wondering if that’s a good deal or not
i guess i forgot to add price after reasonable in the title

A: Condition Value

Excellent $14,515
Good $13,665
Fair $12,515

Q: Does a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible have a CD player?
I’m am looking to buy a used 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible in the next 3 years and was wondering if it can live up to my music needs. If it doesn’t have a CD player, is it possible to install one? If so, about how much will it cost me? All possible answers are wanted. Thanks!

A: As mentioned, the ‘66 Mustang didn’t have a CD player available, CD’s weren’t around then. You can have an aftermarket stereo installed, including a trunk mounted CD changer, without cutting up the dash. Check out Mustang parts places such as National Parts Deports or Mustangs Plus. They will have all the stuff you need. A good system for one of these will run you from about $200-$800, depending on the stereo and options you choose.

Q: If you buy a new Ford Mustang convertible, can you get a hard top for when you don’t want the convertible roof?
I have seen some convertible cars in the past where they have hard tops that can be placed on them. So basically you always have the option if you don’t want to be using the convertible. This might be something you would choose if it were cold weather, or perhaps for added security.

Does anyone know if a product like this is available for the new Ford Mustangs?

A: The extra Hardtop for Mustang convertibles are not available from Ford, however there are a couple of independent companies that manufacture custom hardtops.
Smoothline is one of them.

http://www.smoothline.com/

Q: 2001 ford mustang v6 convertible good car?
My husband is thinking of buying used 2001 ford mustang with 57k miles and 2 accident fix ups for $4200. Is it a good buy? I personally don’t like 2 door cars especially ford but i don’t want to break his heart he so want this car. your openion &/ your experiance with mustang is appreciated.

A: Buy Consumer Reports Guide to New and Used Vehicles at your local Barnes and Noble. In it you will find out all you need to know about this particular car. And I do mean everything lol. You don’t want to break his heart???? If he buys this, he will be the one breaking “your” heart after he realizes how much money he is spending on all the consistant problems he will most definately be having after he acquires this mustang. Buy that book, thank me later. Tell him to run away- far far far away!!!! That car is a rolling recall reguardless of how “nice” it may appear.

Q: What used car search has the most search options? (Must include 2007 Ford Mustang)?
I am looking for a Black Ford Mustang convertible with lots included, such as V8 engine, automatic transmission, leather seats, all of these are a must. It would be great to also have a shaker 1000 (sound system), hood scoop, silver or white racing stripes. Less than 10,000 miles on it. Must be between 2005 through 2008. Any ideas? All appreciated!

A: We just bought a 07 and I did all my searching on Yahoo autos. Use the used car search and put in the year you are looking for and even new ones come up. It was very helpful if you want to actually go see and drive before you buy.

Q: Is there any Ford Mustangs under $10,000 that are used?
I was looking for a used Ford Mustang, preferably a GT convertible, 2005 or greater, in gray. My mom says that if I attend the community college next year (after i graduate high school), then she will get me a mustang to replace my crappy ‘02 ford explorer. I have wanted a stang since I was like 5, so yeah…

A: You can find plenty of them in the 99-04 body style. On autotrader.com right now, there are 8 2005-2009 Ford Mustang GT’s in the entire country for under $10,000. They are all totalled cars or have salvage titles. Sorry.

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/searchresults.jsp?num_records=25&search_lang=en&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&search_type=both&distance=0&address=75028&marketZipError=false&style_flag=1&make=FORD&model=MUST&make2=&start_year=2005&end_year=2008&min_price=&max_price=10000&seller_type=b&transmission=&engine=8+Cylinder&drive=&doors=&fuel=&max_mileage=&color=&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&keywords_display=&sort_type=priceDESC&body_code=0&certified=&advanced=y&highlightFirstMakeModel=&showZipError=n&default_sort=priceDESC&awsp=false&systime=&sownerid=553450&rdm=1245552074412

Q: how do i make my 4 cylinder 1993 ford mustang convertible lx faster?
the only way i know how to do this is to get a v6 or v8 or use a manual transmission.. is there any other way possible i can make my car accelerate faster without getting a new engine or transmission? if so what do i do?

A: Look for a Merkur XR4Ti in the junkyards. They have exactly the same engine, except with a turbo. Thunderbird or Couger Turbo Coupes are the same story except that the later ones (‘87 and ‘88 I think) also had an intercooler, like the Mustang SVOs. If you can find one with a bad tranny or accident damage and a good motor, I would grab the entire engine. Make sure to grab the ECM and all the relevant portions of the wiring harness(careful, some ECMs will only work with either a manual or an auto tranny, not both). If you want to put a turbo (or a supercharger) on your existing motor, I would keep the boost very low unless you plan to rebuild the motor to handle the increased pressure and resulting extra strain.

Otherwise, you can add a few HP with high performance spark plugs and wires, a higher energy ignition coil, a low-resistance muffler (the good old turbo mufflers are cheap and work fine), and advance the timing a bit, but not enough to start the engine knocking. To advance the timing you may have to trick the ECM. I had to on my ‘91 Bronco by unplugging a connector while I advanced the timing and then reconnectig it after. These things won’t make a ‘Vette killer or anything, but they will make it a little faster, and you won’t need to open up the motor. You also might notice a slight improvement in gas mileage. I’ve done these things on several of my cars, and sometimes I got better mileage after. Good luck!

Q: Should I buy this Mustang without Stability Control?
Help! I am in the process of purchasing a used 2006 Ford Mustang Convertible and while researching it I realized that it comes with no Stability Control. Im not the type of person that speeds or pushes my cars to its limits so would buying the car anyways, without the stability control, be okay? And in your own words, what does having Stability control do other than helping in a near accident were the driver has swerved to avoid it.

A: Stability control is a terrific feature. It’s the electronic version of a combined limited-slip differential and braking all-in-one that can work wonders to help prevent a vehicle from entering an unrecoverable situation when traction isn’t absolute.

The fact of the matter is that most people who DO “push” their cars turn-off SC if they can precisely because it “numbs” driving dynamics. If you want to kick the rear-end out or drift through a turn; and indeed, if you even want to “burn rubber”, SC will usually stand in your way because it presumes the vehicle shouldn’t be experiencing what you’re trying to accomplish.

It can be a godsend when traction is unexpectedly lost on rain or snow or even when skidding on dry pavement. The trend is definitely toward making SC mandatory like seatbelts because of the number of lives it has saved, many of which never realized the job it was doing at the time. On the other hand, a century of driving took place before its existence; and while it may have been only slightly less safe, SC has never managed to make a safe driver of an unsafe one on its own.

It can be an even-bigger benefit on Mustang because of Mustang’s solid “live” rear axle. Although moot when all four wheels are square to the ground, because the Mustang lacks an IRS (independent rear suspension), it’s easier for one of the two rear wheels to lift from the ground and the existence of SC can be an even-greater benefit to the remaining 3.

With that said, I certainly wouldn’t consider any vehicle without SC to be “unsafe”; it’s just that those equipped with it can be much more safe. Keep in mind, not even all vehicles today offer it. Other aspects of the vehicle like the fact that it’s rear-wheel drive can have a bigger impact upon safety during situations when traction isn’t absolute than the presence or absence of Stability Control; so, I’d look upon it as a very nice thing to have, but I certainly wouldn’t let its absence discourage me from buying a vehicle to which I was otherwise attracted.

Best of luck. I hope this helps.

P.S. If you want more specific information about the various types of SC systems and the basics of what they do, most of the available Wiki entries have very good information to provide you with a limited working knowledge.

Q: How many miles will i get out of a Ford Mustange?
Im thinking of buying a used 2000 Ford Mustang Convertible GT DELUXE. It’s a 6 cylinder and has 101,000 freeway miles. I’m just wondering how many more miles i can get out of it. Any help would be appreciated! thank you!!!

A: 100k is not the milestone it used to be in a car’s life. You should be able to add 75k more without major issues. On the other hand, I thought Ford only equipped GT’s with V8 engines. Better check in case the GT badges were just added on.

Q: We just purchased a 1983 Mustang Convertible. What is the best thing to use for sealing up the window drafts?
Open air spaces where water shoots through, at car wash, and very noisy with the draft coming in on the highway. I assume that we replace the weather stripping, but I have been searching for any specialty products that may do the best possible job of sealing up this 1983 Ford Mustang Convertible.

A: I had one of those and had the same problem! First check to see that the top seats properly. The hinge bearings inside the trunk may be worn causing it not to sit on the windshield properly especially if the metal alignment points are missing on the tops frame. Make sure the locks are adjusted properly. It is possible to tighten the hold down hooks by loosing the lock nut and turning them clockwise, just remember to resecure the lock nut. If all else fails, there is no replacement for new seals than new seals. There worth the money and they eliminate the dreaded Chinese water torture.

Q: 1999 Ford Mustang Convertible … Problem with the convertible top.?
Hello, the convertible top started not going down every once and a while a few months ago. No specific reason that it would or would not work. I did not use it for a few months. Now it will not go down at all. I don’t hear it trying to move and I get no response from the switch. Is this a fuse problem or possibly another problem? Thanks for the help!

A: It could be a fuse, switch, bad connection or even the motor or relay for the top. I would check the fuses first and go from there.

Q: How do i install a Convertible Top on my 2000 Ford Mustang?
My roof on my 2000 Ford mustang is starting to tear from the rear window area. How do i install a new roof? does anyone know the steps to installing the convertible top? do i need a roof with a window? or can i just buy the meterial, and use the same window?

A: It definitely is not a one person job. When you order a new top, it comes with directions, but it doesn’t always work out the way the instructions say. My hubby replaced our top and it is a bitch. Have fun. That’s all I can say.

Q: 2005 Mustang convertible rear window falling out?
I have a 2005 Ford Mustang and the convertible top material is peeling away from the rear glass window. It is causing leaking to the back seats. At first it slowly started peeling away, but now the material has totally lifted from the window in certain places. Not sure how this happens? Maybe from the heat being that I live in Florida. Does anyone know if there was a recall on this? or if maybe my extended warranty can cover it? It is not something that I did, It obviously is from cheap materials used by the manufacturer. Thanks.

A: A convertible top that is not garaged lasts on average 5 years. Replace the top and get a car cover.

Q: paint color? 2004 Ford Mustang GT convertible 40th anniversary?
I need to know the exact name of the light gray/silver paint on my 2004 mustang gt 40th anniversary convertible. I need to get the paint redone due to a keying insident and would like to know the actual name of the color used?

A: As someone who is in the auto body industry, I have to first say, the name of the color doesn’t matter. Different paint brands have different names for the same color. What matters is the paint code located in the driver door jamb. Ford has a two letter paint code. i.e. TK or Y7. If you are taking it into a body shop, don’t worry, they will know how to find the code and how to make it match. Always remember, in auto paint, it is the CODE that matters, not the name of the color. Good luck.

Q: Ford mustang convertible. The air conditioning only will not comeout of vents, only windshield defrost vents.?
No matter what setting I use (defrost, A/c, max a/c, vent) the cool air only comes out of the windshield defrost vents. I can feel the cool air when i out it on a/c comming out of the defrost vents but nothing out of the normal face or leg vents. Anyone know what the problem is?

A: No vacuum. Most likely a broken or unplugged vacuum line. Under the hood will be a vacuum line from the engine to a reservoir, and then a black plastic tube from the reservoir to the dash. Verify all that is connected, in good condition, and has vacuum. If all that is good, look up under the dash and see if any hoses are hanging loose. If all Still looks good, then you may end up pulling the a/c control head assy and see if you have vacuum to it on the black hose. It is possible to have a bad control unit, but 99.9% of the time it’s a vacuum supply issue or a hose off. You will find it, and it likely will even be obvious, now that you know what to look for!!

Q: I am 16 and just saw a 1998 mustang convertible for sale on the side of the road and was wondering…?
The car had 98,000 miles on it and I know that’s not too great plus it was 4,900 $ I wouldn’t buy that car just because of how many miles it has on it. I really like this kind of car and would like to know how many miles I should be looking for on a used car like this. Prices would also be helpful (for the car and insurance)
Thanks!
PS. please don’t give me answers referring to “new cars” if I were to get any car it could be used

A: That is actually low mileage for an eleven year old car. To get an
accurate price, check the Kelley Blue Book. It will tell price ranges for various different conditions of the car(fair, good, etc.). Average miles varies from about 12,000 to 15,000 per year. Insurance for a 16 year old person will be relatively high, especially with a car like a Mustang.

Q: is a 98 Mustang GT convertible a chicks car or a guys car ?
i saw this mustang for sale and was wondering if i should buy it

A: what does chicks car mean?? if i ever worried what other people think i would have committed suicide long ago/i do it my way and when i want/as long as nobody is behind me saying go ahead i will pick up the tab i do what i want/i pay not anybody else/do the words (go soak it) mean anything here?

Q: 102k miles on 2000 mustang ?
I’m thinking of buying a 2000 mustang V6 automatic black with pop out doors and some rims, it has driven 102238.5miles on it. The seller says the engine is in good condition,i asked if car had any problems with it and he replied “no major problems only minor details”. I am probably going to check it out next week what should i look for ? The mustang convertible is up for sale near me and its up for 4,300 or 3,900 with the original rims.

A: well 102 is actually low for something this age, when you do the math thats about 11.333k miles a year. what your looking at has an essex 3.8l v6 with a 4-speed auto. heres more info about that engine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Essex_V6_engine_(Canadian) . what else you want to look for is service records, damage (especially on the frame) and make sure to test drive it, of course. make sure there’s no hesitation in the trans, make sure the brakes aren’t warped, ect, ect.
if it was for me, i would get it in manual, but thats a personal opinion. but if i wanted it in auto, i would go look at it FOR SURE.

Q: How much (estimated) would it cost for insurance on this mustang?
I am soon to be 16, and a family member has a 1998 Mustang for sale. I was wondering, any idea on the insurance? read below
-4.6L V8
-convertible
-all power, seat belts, airbags, etc.
-VERY good condition
PS we dont have drivers “assigned” to our cars, just the drivers and cars.

also, the conv. top has a 4 inch rip in the seam. is this repairable or does it have to be immeadiatley replaced? i can wait to have it replaced if i can simply repair it.

NOTE:
I DIDNT ASK THIS QUESTION to hear “your too young” or “mustangs suck” I am a responsible teenager and Mustangs have been my passion since i can remember. so thanks.
NOTE

A: Here’s a thought, get a quote from your insurance company. We don’t know who you’re with or what kind of coverage you have, and frankly I’m sick of seeing questions like this on Y! Answers. It’s designed for hard to find knowledge, not lazy people who can’t perform the basic task of a quick search, or list all necessary information in their question for that matter. Nobody can give you a proper quote because nobody knows your coverage or company. Pretty much any number thrown out there could be off by thousands…

By the way, it’s quicker for you to get a quote from your insurance company than make a question and wait for answers. It isn’t a coincidence…

Q: Can I fit a 572 Chevy Big Block in a 2004 mustang?
i have a 04 convertible mustang gt. everything is customized, but it has a lot of km’s. i saw a cheap 572 big block for sale and i want to know if it will fit so i can buy it.

A: Why? Why would you put a crappy motor in a good car? It’s way too much work just to fit that in there in the first place. Stick with the 4.6. That, and if the 572 is going for cheap, I would imagine it is either stolen, or it has so many issues (like all chevies… tee hee) that it isn’t worth building. The 4.6 (presumably) has more than enough snot to get the job done.

Q: 96 Mustang Question!!!!!!?
Where can I find a convertible top for sale in a website (not ebay I tried that) If you find a website please write down the link. Or if you know where in the city of Chicago IL please list the location. Thanks for those that help

A: Try this sit I bought my replacement here and Ive had no problems. The 03-04 Cobra cloth top fits from 94-04 and is a lot nicer piece IMHO, I hope that helps

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/ShopByBrand/Electron-Top

Q: Help with tire sizing please! ?
I have a 2004 Mustang V6 Convertible with stock 16″ rims. Current tire size P225/55R16 Eagle LS.Recommended tire size by americanmuscle.com is 245/50-16. There are three tire sizes I have found for sale. Please let me know which one would be the best fit (plan to use them during this Michigan winter and over the summer) and what will happen if I try to use any of the other two. THANK YOU! 1. Continental ContiTrac P235 70 R 16 2. Continental Touring Contact AS 215/60/r16 3. toyo proxes fz4 205/40-16.

A: Here’s how you figure out the possible tire sizes to use… First off, I’m assuming you want to keep the same ride height, or else your gages will be off, and you might lose gas mileage.

Take the first number (225 from your stock tire size) and divide it by 25.4 to get the width of the tire in inches (8.858267717). The second number is the ratio of sidewall (on each side of the rim) to tread width. Multiply the width (8.858267717) by ratio/100 (0.55 in your case) to get the height of the sidewall on 1 side of the rim (4.872047244) and multiply by 2 to get the total sidewall height (9.744094489) then add the rim size (16) to get 25.744094489 inches tall.

With a wider tire you will have better traction, with the expense of a little worse gas mileage. The 245/50-16’s would be 25.645669291 inches tall. As long as you stay within half an inch of stock height you shouldn’t need to worry about making any modifications to the suspension or the speedometer. Just make sure you check for clearance if you choose to go with wider tires, because they may rub. Also make sure your rims are wide enough to handle the wider tires. Most of the time you can safely use tires that are 20-30 millimeters wider than stock on your factory rims, but you should check first anyway. Every car I’ve ever owned I put tires on that were at least 20mm wider, and never had any issues except on my current truck. The wider tires rub a little bit if I have the wheel turned all the way to the left.

Q: Tips on buying a 2005+ used Mustang Convertible V6 or V8?
I am looking to buy my dream car – a Mustang Convertible. I’m no car expert and have been used to driving standard family cars. Will it be dangerous for me to get a V8 GT version? What do I need to watch out for when buying a 2005 to 2008 used Mustand?

A: No, it’s not more dangerous, as long as you watch it on wet roads. The GT has a lot of power and torque, with not much weight over the drive wheels, and it’s easier to break loose and lose traction on a wet road. On icy roads, you have to be really careful.

Q: Where can I find a used mustang convertible for 5 grand or less?
possible?

A: 1998 Mustang V6

California or Florida

Q: What is a reasonable for a Used 2006 Ford Mustang Convertible?
I found one for 15k, and I was wondering if that’s a good deal or not
i guess i forgot to add price after reasonable in the title

A: Condition Value

Excellent $14,515
Good $13,665
Fair $12,515

Q: Dose anyone know were i can find a used black 2009 mustang convertible with red interior ?
i would love you foreverrrrrr ! haha .

A: http://www.autotrader.com

Q: Can I use a mustang convertible top motor to replace one for an old impala?
I have a 1968 impala convertible that the motor does not work. A buddy told me I could use any motor for the top… suggested using one from a mustang since they are abundant and less expensive than the original units. Is a convertible top motor the same (excluding dimensions) as any convertible top motor?

A: What nobody here has thought of or told you is that it is just not the Motor. You have a Motor that pumps Hydraulic fluid, most of the time regular ATF Fluid, and you have two (2) Hydraulic Cylinders that raise and lower the top. If you do not hear the motor, then it is probably shot. If you hear it, it may not be pumping the required pressure or the cylinders may be shot and need replacing. You need to find out which it is.
A motor runs about $249, and a Pair of cylinders run around $269.
Some of the Chevy’s had a scissor top mechanism which was like a screw jack for raising and lowering and others had a pump motor with hydraulic cyliners. Also the Impala is a larger car and a heavier top so the pressure on it if it does have a pump may be higher than the one on the Mustang with a lighter top and a pump without as much pressure. If you could connect it, it might blow the packings out of the hydraulic cylinders on your mustang. I will give you a few sites you can go to and look up the parts.

Q: Used 05-07 Mustang Convertible for Teenager?
Aside from the fact that it’s a fast sports car, would a used 05 06 or 07 mustang convertible GS be cool for a teenage girl??
Also, what color do you think would be the best/coolest car for a driver in this situation? thank for reaind
thanks for reading**

A: A teenage girl, it may be to much to handle. Personally I wouldnt want something that nice, in fear that I’d wreck it and be out a real nice car at the age of 17…BUT, if you dont care about that, or have so much money you dont know what to do with it, then yes…A used 05, 06, or 07 Mustang is a chick car. I personally like those cars in red..

Q: What Gas to use for a 95 Mustang Convertible?
I have a 1995 mustang convertible that I only use in summer months. Until the gas prices exploded I always used the highest octane possible, but with prices where they are and reading that I am probably wasting my cash anyone know what octane rating I should use? I can’t find the owners manual.

A: gas?! try putting creamed corn in instead. you’d be surprised! use a name brand though and not a private label or generic. especially stay away from walmart brand.

Q: wats the average price to get new interior in a mustang convertible?
i have a used mustang convertibe… i dont no wat year or anything else… wats an estimate price of redoing the entier interior?? i no alot of u will b likke it depends on bla bla bla but i just need an estimate… thx and if u no bout paintjobs too that wud b great

A: depends on the type of interior leather will cost more than fabric it will cost you about 5,000 i would guess

Q: I used to have a mustang convertible, now what do I get?
Well, typical tragic car story… I had a beautiful 1997 midnight blue mustang convertible, my very first car, and then some moron in a huge pickup truck rear-ended me, and my poor little car went splat. I would LOVE to have another one just like it, but it seems to be hard to find in my area (all I can find are red or white ones, and about 85% of them are automatic transmission– I prefer manual, it’s more fun). Anyway, my question is, if I can’t find another one, what other kind of car should I get? My budget is around $5000, as that’s how much the guy’s insurance company coughed up, but I can go maybe $1000 above (or below would be nice too, haha). I want something relatively small, and cute, but reliable… basically exactly like my old car. Any suggestions?
Okay, I’ve already looked online and in automart magazines and such… I just need to know what to look for. Make/model/year and such. Just suggestions, unless you live in Raleigh, NC, haha. Thanks.

A: How about a Mazda MX-5?

Q: What european coupe or convertible can I get for the same used price of a 1999 mustang gt?
It must be as fast or faster than the mustang, must have a manual transmission and it must be legal in the U.S.

A: Sorry, there isn’t a european fast car that cheap.

But pretty much all of them handle better, even the cheap slow ones.

Q: Is keyless entry a standard feature on a 2001 V6 mustang convertible??
I am thinking about buying a used 2001 mustang convertible, but the seller says that it didn’t have keyless entry. That seems odd to me. I would think that would be a standard feature. I’m wondering if the remotes were just lost or damaged or whatever. The oem remotes are available pretty cheap off ebay, but I don’t want to buy them if I can’t use them. Also, does anyone know how to program those remotes? I know its something about turning the key to on and back like 5 or 6 times or something, but I’m not 100% sure. Thanks for the help

A: No it not Standard, I told another person When we built cars @ Atlanta Assembly lots of cars did not get all the bells and whistle some were just plain , So think about that and if you won,t Key less entry find you one you like, Hope this helped

Q: Does anyone know how to hook up subwoofers to a Mach 460 system in a 2002 Mustang convertible, using stock head
Im having trouble hooking up Subwoofers to the Mach 460 system using the stock head unit and a LOC or line output converter I have heard so many differrent ways to do it but none of hem seem to work for me, also my amp doesnt seem to be getting any power. The neoon lights on the side light up but the actual green power light doesnt

A: No idea on the mustang hook up, but I can fix your green power light issue.

Either
A) You power wire is not correctly connect to your battery and/or you have a bad ground wire.

B). Your remote wire is not hooked up to an active wire. What many people do with remote wires on factory head units is run it off the fuse box, off a fuse that only is engaged when the car turns on, and disengages when the car is off.

If you dont know what a remote wire does, it sends the amps a signal off when to be on or off.

A: Computer generated I would guess. Amusing though.

Just a small correction to the person who said 215/60-16 is the same height… They are actually 26.157480315 inches, which is .413385826 inches bigger than stock. Still within that half inch limit, but definitely taller. Just remember with the narrow tires you’ll have less traction. (barely noticable though, depending on how you drive)

Q: Can a girl pull off a White 2010 Ford Mustang Convertible?
Do you think a 16 year old girl driving one of these looks more sexy or disgustingly manly?

A: As a guy, I would much rather see a pretty girl in a Mustang convertible than in a VW Beetle convertible.

Mustangs are definitely “guy” cars, so every guy is going to check out a hot girl who is driving one.

Q: 2010 Chevy Camaro Coupe or 2010 Ford Mustang Convertible?
Which should I get?

2010 Chevrolet Camaro 2LT (V6) Coupe

or

2010 Ford Mustang V6 Premium Convertible

A: Right now I’d probably go for the Camaro, and it pains me to say that since I’m a Mustang fanatic. I have owned two Mustangs. But true to tradition, Ford has left the Mustang hopelessly behind the Camaro in horsepower.
Rumor is they will fix this in 2011, but for now, 210 hp in the Mustang vs 300 in the Camaro, I’d go for the Camaro V6 over the Mustang V6.

Q: What are all the customizations I can do to a 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible?
I don’t know that much about cars
but I’m thinking of customizing my future car after I get it.

what are all the possibilities that I can customize on a 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible
If there is a website that lists all of it, that would be GREATLY appreciated. =]

A: I would wait until you actually have the keys in your hand. I would also go with the hardtop as the vert is a couple hundred pounds heavier and the GT500 is rather portly to begin with. I wouldn’t change the any exterior features. I would swap out the stock supercharger for an uprated Kenne Bell unit. I would also invest in some wider wheels/tires, as the stock sized tires don’t provide near enough traction off the line.

Who cars about what the car looks like, The GT500 already has good looks. Under the hood is what matters. I have to chuckle at the people who will spend thousands of dollars on body kits and custom paint. Only to have a bone stock motor under the hood.

Q: 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Coupe vs 2010 Chevy Camaro Z-28 SS?
I prefer the Mustang, how about you.

Chevy’s Camaro SS outfitted with the 422-hp 6.2-liter LS3 V8 six-speed manual hits 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and runs a 13.4-second quarter-mile at 108 mph according to Oppenheiser. Strangely enough, Oppenheiser also claims that the automatic-equipped SS Camaro, which is rated at 400 hp, runs from zero to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds. “We optimized the shift points,” he said.

Both versions of the V8 Camaro SS pull a maximum 0.90 g on the skid pad. Four-piston Brembo brakes help stop the Camaro SS in 117 feet
If you are referring to the bailout, Ford did’nt need it.

A: 2 road tests i have read on the shelby…..clearly point out it handles better than the camaro (plus it looks better)…..

and for 2010 mustang has announced there will be a shelby gt 500KR, that will be running 725 HP…..that puts it in the same league (faster than) a corvette ZR1….
latest review of the new shelby KR did the 1/4 mile at 10.8, 134mph…in street trim! they will also have available a detuned option running 605….
great to have a mustang “ferrari killer”…………at a fraction of the price

in 03 ford terminated gm with the 03 and 04 cobra(terminator series)………looks like gm will be terminated again.

cheers 04 cobra

Q: I was deciding on what to buy a 2010 ford mustang gt silver w/blk racing stripes and hood scoop?
What should i buy a hard top or convertible i don’t like the convertible roof but maybe it will still look good in convertible with the top on
Or should i go for the KILL and get the COBRA that cost around 15,000 more even though it will kill on payments
Or just wait or go for something else

A: Buy the Coupe but get the Glass roof!
It’s the best of both worlds!

You have seen the glass roof, haven’t you?!?!?
{■ Optional on V6 Premium and GT Premium models ■ Tinted, high-performance safety glass helps keep the cabin cool and deflects ultraviolet radiation – defending
the integrity of interior trim and fabric ■ Includes a manual, retractable, built-in shade ■ A transparent acoustic layer helps reduce noise, vibration and harshness.
EUPHORIA – 24/7/365 It’s awesome. The available, see-through glass roof presents a lush panorama of constantly changing
skies and cityscapes. Wherever, whatever the weather. Enjoy the show.}

Q: 2010 mustang GT convertible for $32,000 with 500km ON IT!!!?
2010 Mustang GT Convertible for $32,000. 500 KM on it.?
Someone is selling a 2010 Mustang GT convertible with only 500 KM on it for $35,000. but i offered on it, and he lowered it to $32,000.

in the ford.ca website it says mustang gt convertible is $42,000. one other guy is selling his mustang gt convert. for $38,000.

should i go ahead and buy this mustang what do you think?

A: how does it have so many kms

Q: 2010 Mustang GT Convertible for $32,000. 500 KM on it.?
Someone is selling a 2010 Mustang GT convertible with only 500 KM on it for $35,000. but i offered on it, and he lowered it to $32,000.

should i go ahead and buy this mustang what do you think?

A: I would skip it and just get a new 2011 GT vert. The people who bought the 2010’s aren’t a happy bunch right now.

Q: 2010 Ford Escape questions?
Hi there, I’m SO close to buying a Ford Escape (2010) that I thought I would ask some opinions of people who already have them. Firstly, do you like it, secondly, was it worth it, and lastly, if you could have chosen any other vehicle over the Escape, which car would it be?

I have a 2003 Ford Mustang Convertible Pony Edition with only 55,000 kms on it, and I went to the Canadian Blue Book web site to find out how much it was worth and got a price that was about $2,000 lower than what the dealer offered me if I traded it in. This Mustang is my first car, and it’s never been in an accident and it’s got a clean record. With that in mind, how do you get over the sentimental attachment to an object you value? I’m going to find it extremely difficult to let go of the Mustang, but if it’s going to save me a bundle on a trade in, then I shouldn’t think twice about letting it go. I’ve had the Mustang for almost 7 years now and although it’s nice, it’s not very practical and insurance is a killer ($3,100 the first year, $2,900 the following year, coming down with each accident-free year). What’s insurance like on the Escape? I hope it would be considerably less because it’s a) not my first car and b) not a sports car and c) I’m not a first-time car buyer now. It’s been paid for for years, and I take excellent care of it, and would do the same with the Escape if I buy one.

I think I need some advice… any of you Escape owners out there have anything good to say about it?

Thanks!
Dan

A: for the situation like yours,I would like to suggest you have a look here

you should find something useful.

Q: help with car picking?
im confused about these 3 cars:

BMW-(in montego blue) http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicles/1series/convertible/2007/visualizer.html

Dodge charger- http://www.charliegrafton.com/pics/2006-Dodge-Charger-RT-sa-black.jpg

btw im a girl

A: the Mustang
its fun to drive
easy to drive in the Winter due to its traction control
its American ..made right here in Michigan
gets roughly 22 mpg

Q: whats better camaro or mustang?
I trying to decide
a 2009 Ford Mustang Convertible
or a 2010 Chevy Convertible Camaro

A: For anybody that thinks the Camaro won’t be built:

I work for General Motors at the Warren, MI Tech Center. I have personally seen the 2010 Camaro (non-convertable version at this point, i believe the convertable will follow as a 2011 model) in Captured Test Fleet. (these are vehicles that are considered production vehicles that are driven by managers that get company cars for the purpose of working out any bugs in the vehicles before they get unleashed on the general public)

I’m biased. I think the Camaro is much better looking. As to performance, if you have enough money, you probably could put a 700 HP engine in one.

That being said: in the past, the power to weight ratio of the Camaro has been about the same as for the Mustang… there’s more power in the F body, but it’s heavier.

Covertibles are heavier than hard tops, too.

[edit] Childhood and personal life
Kris Allen was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas to Kimberly (née Wood) and Neil Allen.[4][5] He is the elder of two sons; his younger brother, Daniel, is a college cheerleading coach.[6] Allen is a Christian and served as assistant music director at the non-denominational New Life Church in both Conway, Arkansas and Little Rock, Arkansas.[7] Allen has participated in missionary work around the world, including in Burma, Morocco, Mozambique, South Africa, Spain and Thailand.[7]

Allen’s interest in music began very early. He began playing the viola in elementary school and went on to play the instrument in the Mills University Studies High School orchestra, eventually winning a spot in the Arkansas all-state orchestra.[8] Additionally, he taught himself to play the guitar at age 13, and also plays the piano. His musical influences, as stated in his Idol confessionals, include the Beatles, Jamie Cullum, Jason Mraz, John Mayer and Michael Jackson.

After high school, Allen moved to Conway, Arkansas to attend the University of Central Arkansas, where he was a business major and a member of Chi Alpha.[7][9] He soon dropped out to pursue music professionally, performing in local bars and working as a shoe salesman to make ends meet.[10][11] After marrying his girlfriend of seven years, Katherine “Katy” O’Connell, on September 26, 2008,[4][12] Allen planned on going back to college to finish his degree and “get a real job.”[9][11] He has described his decision to audition for American Idol as a “last hurrah” before giving up his pursuit of a music career.[13]

[edit] Career

[edit] Brand New Shoes
In 2007, Allen wrote and self-produced an album entitled Brand New Shoes with college friends and bandmates Michael Holmes (drums) and Chase Erwin (bass).[2] 600 copies were given to friends and family. Songs from the album were widely distributed online during his time on Idol.

[edit] American Idol
Main article: American Idol (season
Allen auditioned for the eighth season of American Idol in Louisville, Kentucky with his brother Daniel, who did not make it to Hollywood.[14][15] In the early stages of the season, he was among the finalists (along with Allison Iraheta) that received the least amount of screen time. Only several seconds of his first audition (and neither of his Hollywood Week solo performances) were shown, although his group performance with White Chocolate (including fellow finalist Matt Giraud) was aired in its entirety.[9][16][17][18][19] The judges also asked him to participate in an un-aired sing-off with another contestant before they allowed him to enter the semifinals round.[20]

Throughout the competition, Allen received many compliments for his folk-inspired interpretations of modern pop songs. He played several instruments during his performances, including the acoustic guitar, the electric guitar, the keyboard, and the piano. His performance of “To Make You Feel My Love” as part of the Top 11 earned praise from the judges, with Simon Cowell commenting, “I am genuinely beginning to think you have a shot of doing well in this competition.”[21] In the finals, he performed his own arrangement of “Ain’t No Sunshine” on a keyboard, with a few musicians on stage, which earned praise from the judges. Cowell lauded it as Allen’s “best performance so far.”[22]

On the first Top 7 night, Allen chose to sing the Oscar-winning song

Q: What should I name my car……?
My parents are buying me a red 2010 Ford Mustang convertible,

I’m ordering monogram to put on my car. I need to order it soon so it’ll be here when I get my car. (I get it next Friday on my 18th birthday)

What’s a good name for my car?
@Rick
I’m not spoiled nor am I bragging.
I just want to know opinions on what I should name my car. This would be my first car and my graduation/18th birthday present.
I’ve done great in school and I think i deserve it. I’m not going to feel bad about getting a car just because others think I’m spoiled.

Its my dream car.

get over it.

And what does a boyfriend have to do with is? I have a boyfriend and why would I compare him to my dad based on what my dad buys me? That’s stupid.
So for everyone leaving rude comments calling me spoiled, I’m not spoiled.

This is my first car. I’m happy about getting it. I’m not going to feel bad because you think I’m spoiled.

Stop being jealous. (i know that sounds like I’m spoiled but that’s also how you all seem, just jealous)

A: WOW.

Q: Which one of these would you prefer?
Car 1 http://pulseautosport.com/wp-content/gallery/2010-ford-mustang-shelby-gt500-convertible/ford-mustang_shelby_gt500_convertible_2010_1280×960_wallpaper_01.jpg
Car 3 http://www.cars.justelite.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/chrysler-llc-2009-dodge.jpg

A: omg that is so hot, i’d choose number 1.. fukn sexy as hell omfg wooo hehe

Q: What mustang should I choose (In the future)?
I will start driving in june. And I am stuck between these 2 cars to get within the next 10 month’s. Which one is better?

Car #1. 2010 Ford Mustang standard v6 coupe( I will add leather because cloth does not help my allergies! -Color: Sunset Gold Metallic.

Car#2. 2000 Ford Mustang v6 Premium Convertible with leather, Mach 460 sound, 49,000 miles, spoliler,SALVAGE, and parents almost paid it off! color: Sunburst Gold Clearcoat Metallic.

I made salvage big because the car is still missing some parts! But i love the color of both cars!
Also, i plan on driving the old 2000 until I am able to find a cheap, nice, gold one at carmax next year!

A: is this a serious question???? you pick the brand new one that isn’t salvaged!!!! jesus!!!!!

Q: How much less should i pay for a car if i pay for it in full?
I’m trying to get a ford mustang, probably 2010, v6 convertible. Assuming i get that for 20,000, how much less should i pay once i offer to pay for it in full? I’ve also heard that dealers don’t like when you pay for it in full because they don’t make money off of the extra cash they make when you lease it, because when you lease or something you pay like 25000 for a 20000 car.

A: 95% of dealers are going to have to make the same amount on the car regardless if you pay cash, finance elsewhere or finance through them.

They get cash for EVERY car they sell. So it shouldn’t matter.

Any money a dealer makes on the “back end” is gravy and the deal has to stand on its own without it.

Q: Questions about a 2007-09 Ford Mustang Convertible?
I will be graduating in 2011 and I’m going to need a vehicle. I’ve decided to go the cheaper route since this will be first vehicle, so I’ve decided on a Mustang (most likely the 2008 model). I’m a little skeptical about buying the convertible version, because I’ve never operated or even rode in one. So can someone please answers these questions for me:

How long does it take for the top to come up or go down?
Can you let the top up while you’re driving?
Will the cloth top fade?

A: Less than 30 seconds
no, the emergency brake has to be applied and the tranny in park
not if you take care of it.

Q: Is it worth to buy a convertible car over a non-convertible?
I want to buy a Ford Mustang 2011 and I could pay extra money for the convertible option. Will i be cold in the winter? Is there hassle? Is it worth it?

Thx

A: personal preference mainly, and resale in summer is almost guranteed. What do you want? and as the other answer wrote by replacing tops every 7 or 8 years, it stays plenty winter tight. In the end, its your money, and if you never had one, and want one and can afford it, best of luck, enjoy. its your toy.

Q: Are convertible cars believed to be “girly”?
I want a Ford Mustang 2011, and i dont know if i should get a convertible or not, some people have been saying that convertibles are for girls, but i dont know, so what do you guys think?

A: generally yes, but who gives a crap? i want a mazda miata! its an amazing car! cheap, fuel efficient, lightweight, amazing handling.

Who cares what others think, its your car.

Q: Need help with money???
am about 25 years old and I am a professional football player (NFL). I made about $70 million in the last couple of years from being on tv and from playing. I got so caught up in the money that I bought these cars:
2009 Ford Mustang GT- $30,000
2007 Jaguar XK Convertible- $81,000
2010 Porsche Panamera- $105,000
2008 Lexus RX350- $43,000
2008 Mercury Grand Marquis- $17,000

These Houses:

And I also bought a nice a*s Yacht:

And now I have about $4 million in the bank and I dont know what to do, I already got advise from my accountant but now i want other peoples thoughts, tell me wat your think i should do.

A: Hmm…..and to think you were in high school just three weeks ago, judging from your last question (below):

Need help wit this chick???
I am in High school and I like this girl in one of my classes. We never really talked before and we dont really no eachother that well. we are just in the same class and i see her in the hall alot during the day. she is a cheerleader and i am a varsity football player. i was just wondering should i get to no her better then ask her or just ask her

But to answer your question about what you should do…..study hard, get into a good college, get a degree, a nice job, a nice paycheck. Probably not $70M, but heh, it’s a living……
